VERIL DE FARIONES
VERIL DE FARIONES
LEVEL: MEDIUM
This underwater cliff stands out at the Playa Grande beach because of its depth and the height of the walls. In addition, the rocks next to El Muellito de Fariones are a true aquarium, a perfect spot to practise “snorkeling” and safety stops.
The underwater cliffs of Puerto del Carmen are a perfect place to observe the passage of migrating species living in the deep blue such as tunas, albacores, amberjacks or wahoo. This place is a divers dream: you may see devil rays, dolphins, turtles and giant whales. Will you be one of the lucky ones?
There are many dives that can be done along this stretchof the coast, especially deep dives. It is the Canarian place with the steepest slope close to the coast and with comfortable access from land. You can reach the immense forests of black coral, over 60 m deep, in just a few minutes swimming from the beach.
In this place the great groupers who reside in the immense walls stand out, as well as the gerardias and the giant anemones that grow in the walls, and, of course, the forests of black coral only accessible to technical divers due to its depth. A lot of people do their favourite dives along these walls.
